The jhoadley Rock and Roll Archive
It used to be that if you'd ask me how I was doing I'd answer by telling you what my band was up to. And it used to be that being my friend meant you were forced to listen to hours and hours of rehearsal tapes.
And even if you avoided that, you would without a doubt--at least once--have to stick around some industrial warehouse on a rainy weekday night until 1:00am to see yours truly sing and play.
From Indiana cover bands, to spiked hair and skinny tie groups in Boston, to DIY pop, noise and garage rock outfits in San Francisco, I can pretty much chart my life from age fourteen on just by listing the bands I've been in.
I thought it'd be fun to recount a little about each group and include a photo or sound file where available. I'm thinking some of the best moments were never documented, but what was captured I'll post here.
I'll be starting with a placeholder for each group and add material when I find the time. At least now you don't have to stay up late to support me, just read a few bios, chuckle at some old hairdos and be on your way.
